What’s this cave

Hi I am Yufei 🌴 🪨🪰

Some friends tell me I am like an odd rock or ugly tree from afar, only to uncover after some hard work on their part that I am actually a cool jade or warm human inside (aka beneficial?!). As much as I like the uniqueness of an ugly tree, I want to expose the jade and human side more because connection feels so good.

So this is an experimental platform or blog where I share! Currently I put my readable journals, learnings, hypotheses, zines, diagrams, stories, conversations, research notes. The main topics now are Hawaii, China, kindredness, citizen sciece, many ways of knowing, collective intelligence, land-based communities, simulation, drawing.

Who am I

Maybe I can start with my world? I feel like we live in this not-yet-done, always shaping, birthing, dying, transforming world. I am part of this organism but I am also an organism, it’s really weird and fun to figure out how to live this way. I cherish our potential to learn anything and turn any dream to reality, and navigate our energy towards the good direction that we can morph into.

或许可以从我的世界说起？我觉得我们生活在一个尚未完成、不断塑造、诞生、消亡和转化的世界里。我是这个有机体的一部分，但我本身也是一个有机体，以这种方式生活既奇怪又有趣。我珍视我们学习任何事物、将梦想化为现实的能力，并将能量引导至我们可以蜕变的良性方向。
